This means that eggs will not hatch faster with two or more Pokmon in their party with either Flame Body or Magma Armor than they would if there was just one Pokmon with either ability in the player's party.
For Generation VII games, ignore Abilities introduced in Generation VIII or later. However, although both abilities passively help players hatch eggs faster, these abilities do not stack. For Generation VI games, ignore Abilities introduced in Generation VII or later. For Generation V games, ignore Abilities introduced in Generation VI or later. For Generation IV games, ignore Hidden Abilities. Sizzlipede, Centiskorch, Carkol, Coalossal, Litwick. Inside a battle, if a Pokmon with this Ability is hit by a move that makes contact, the attacking Pokmon has a 30 chance of being burned. To hatch eggs faster, you can carry a Pokmon with the Flame Body ability in your party with the eggs. For Generation III games, ignore Abilities introduced in Generation IV or later and Hidden Abilities. Remember to remove all other Pokemon in your party except the Eggs and your Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor when hatching multiple Eggs. Please note that this is only 100% accurate to Generation VIII games. This effect does not stack with itself, Flame Body, or Magma Armor. 
If a Pokémon with Steam Engine is in the party (even if fainted), the number of cycles it takes for all Pokémon Eggs in the party to hatch are halved. This Ability activates after any stat decreases caused by the move are applied. When a Pokémon with Steam Engine is hit by a Fire- or Water-type move, its Speed stat is increased by six stages.
